The game, although extremely great, was highly appreciated but still failed miserably because it was too humid

For decades, the gaming industry was sometimes a joke. Regularly making more money than Hollywood and the biggest games brings huge profits. The "monuments" such as Call of Duty, GTA still attracts millions of gamers worldwide daily.

Unfortunately, not every game has that kind of luck, even if it deserves it. Such cases are extremely unfortunate, because even though they are dedicated, the quality is not bad at all, but sadly it is not possible to stand up in a market that has become too crowded.

Kingdoms of Amalur

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckaming is a great game, especially when the context and legend of the game was created by famous fantasy writer R.A. Salvatore and Todd McFarlane are in charge of art design. Kingdoms of Amalur prides itself on a vast world with lots of missions to perform, giving players over 200 hours of experience. This amount of content may be a bit too much for some players, but it's there and waiting for them to travel through the five lands of Amalur like a fictional explorer.

Unfortunately, the game was sluggish on store shelves and only sold 1.2 million copies before 90 days of release. It's not okay to have to sell 3 million copies for this game to break even. And one more bad news, the developer of Kingdoms of Amalur - 38 Studios filed for bankruptcy shortly after creating this game.

Grim Fandango

Grim Fandango is a cult work published by LucasArts. This is the first adventure game released by the company to use 3D graphics on the built-in background, giving the game a truly unique look. Feeling like watching a movie, Grim Fandango has turned Manny Calavera into one of the most unique video game characters in the history of the gaming industry.

But even after gaining acclaim and praise for its design and direction, Grim Fandango had a commercial failure, selling only about half a million copies in worldwide sales. Fortunately this work was later "reborn" and achieved certain success. In 2015, it was remade and released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PC, Mac, Linux, even Android and iOS.

Beyond Good & Evil

Beyond Good & Evil, developed by France's Michel Ancel, is the definition of a cult classic. It has received great reviews and critics appreciate the graphics, storytelling and unique character sets. But in the first release in 2003, the sales of this game was very catastrophic. The reason for this is the marketing and marketing mistakes and the fact that it was released at a time when the market was too saturated with major games.

A remastered version was released in 2011 for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, bringing the game to a new generation of players. Meanwhile, a sequel was announced in 2008, and several recent E3 demos demonstrated unique art design and rich sci-fi imagination. "Talented but out of date", Beyond Good & Evil is a typical example of this saying.
